According to a recent study by Flurry, consumers’ use of various apps increased by 132% over the course of a year. Spring is upon us, and so is a budding e-marketplace.

Thankfully Baynote has broken it down for us in an easily digestible consumer-friendly infographic.
According to the infographic, consumers spent 6 times as much time on retailer apps in 2012 than the previous year. Moreover, shopping apps experienced the third biggest jump, an increase of 247%, behind only social and media/entertainment apps. There goes using shopping as your cardio.
E-tailers, it seems, are the new wave of the future. If you want to keep that cash flowing out of my wallet, and into your cash register, focus your marketing efforts on your mobile strategy. It’s in our pockets, wherever we go.
