How Customer Reviews Put Local Businesses on the Map

Can’t get enough of infographics? They’re just so handy!

Here’s one from Milo (which compiled research from a study done by SearchEngineLand.com and one by eMarketer.com) on how consumers are looking for and finding local small businesses, as well as the impact of online reviews.

A few things we found interesting:
– 79% of consumers surveyed said they either regularly or occasionally read online customer reviews to determine whether a local business is a good business. Only 24% said they don’t read them.
– Only 15% of consumers surveyed said they did NOT use the Internet to find a local business in the past year.
– Word-of-mouth is still the most powerful way to get your local business discovered – 82% of respondents said that’s how they find out about them.
