At eTail West 2012, I spoke with several online retail pros about where they see the multi-channel retail industry evolving to, asking them the question, “What’s the next big thing in e-commerce?”
Execs from companies like CoffeeforLess.com, Macys.com and Quidsi Inc. (parent company of Diapers.com, Soap.com, Wag.com, etc.) shared their thoughts on the question with responses that ranged from tablet expansion to social media to decreasing the time between an online order and when a customer has his/her product in hand.
