You’re in the market for a chair. But not just any chair—a chair that will define your personality and anchor the look of your new living room. The kind of chair that requires consideration. Screen shot 2013-06-19 at 10.28.37 AM

So you take out your iPad and look for Design Within Reach, (DWR) the retailer famous for giving its customers access to the best in modern design, in the AppStore. You download the app, play with the various chairs, fall in love with a couple and head to your nearest store to experience the chairs, up close and personal. There you encounter sales people, all of them carrying iPads, who listen to you describe the chair of your dreams, and help you zero in on the one that seems tailor-made for you.

In fact, DWR’s app was tailor made for its customers, with the same attention to aesthetic detail that the company puts into everything it does. With a very connected customer base that uses multiple mobile devices and the latest in mobile gadgets, DWR was challenged with finding a winning mobile strategy to connect with customers wherever they are, increase sales and brand engagement.
