In Case the Olympics aren’t Bringing you Enough of Britain…

London – no, Great Britain – is having quite a moment.

It all kicked off in April of 2011 when the big romantic fairytale that was William and Kate’s wedding turned the world upside down in one collective swoon. Since then, amid a Diamond Jubilee, Wimbeldon’s first British finalist since 1938 and now the most massive Olympics ceremonies in memory, the global fascination with everything British has only grown.

Alibaba.com brings us this super fun infographic – especially fun for shameless anglophiles like yours truly – about how Britain is trending in the e-commerce and digital arena. A few noteworthy stats:

– Global searches for Diamond Jubilee goods grew by 2,450% year on year (April 2012 vs. April 2011)
– There was an increase of 321% in global searches for Queen Elizabeth-related paraphernalia year on year
– The top British baked goods in terms of search queries were: biscuits, cakes and pastry. No surprise there, the Brits make QUITE a biscuit!

The rest of the stats are in the graphic below, have at it! (And while you’re at it, obsessing over London and all, how about telling us your favorite Olympic sport. Go ahead. We want to know. Ours? Gymnastics!)
