– In 2011, the number of people shopping only was around 167 million. By 2016, U.S. Online Retail Forecast predicts that number will be 192 million.
– Forrester predicts that online retail spending in the U.S. will increase 62 percent by 2016.
– The leading industry for ecommerce sales is apparel, which, by 2016, is predicted to reach $73 billion in total online sales, from $34.2 billion in 2011.
