Some of you in-the-know New Yorkers that read this blog may have heard about the marquee re-opening of Marquee. It was apparently pretty epic.
But did you know that HSN, one of our favorite multi-channel retailers, celebrated its redesign as well? And not only that, they celebrated at Marquee. How apropos.
Don’t ask me how or why I missed it. The flu didn’t help but I think I could have mustered the energy if I’d simply remembered the event. The flu will do a number on your memory, ya know.
So what did HSN do that was worth celebrating with the likes of Martha Stewart and Kelly Rutherford? The site re-launched all of its digital channels to make its platforms faster, more efficient and more social. The re-launch was part of a comprehensive, multi-platform digital redesign that has been in development for more than a year. (We say that’s not so bad…knowing how long major upgrades can take in this industry.) A press release issued about the event said that the redesign enhances the customer experience to HSN.com and across mobile devices including tablets.
The event – again, let’s please not rub it in that I missed this – featured beauty treatments from LORAC cosmetics, Deborah Lippman nails, David Evangelista haircare and Beautisol tanning products. A custom tech bar allowed guests to experience and interact with the updated website and App first hand. HSN also encouraged guests to Instagram their favorite moments of the evening using #HSNremodel.
