According to an article and infographic published on Mashable today, there are 5.3 billion mobile subscribers around the world, which equates to 77% of the world’s population using a phone. Seventy three percent of the group, or 3.8 billion, live in emerging economies.
But still, mobile advertising dollars spent around the world do not begin to compete with traditional platforms or Internet ads, says the article.
