Staples.com Brings ‘Easy’ to New Mobile Website

Staples.com has today introduced a new mobile site (M.Staples.com) that brings its “easy” concept to customers’ smartphones, allowing them one-click access to a store locator with automatic GPS, store inventory lookup, optimized ink and toner finder and enhanced on-site search with an auto-suggest feature.

“At Staples we’re always looking for ways to bring easy to our customers, wherever they are, so they can research, shop and buy a wide range of products and services for their office,” said Steven Bussberg, Senior Vice President, Staples.com. “Mobile devices offer new and exciting ways for us to engage with customers whether they’re in their homes or offices, on the road, or in one of our stores.”

In addition to the “easy” functionality, the mobile site also allows users to share product reviews and become a fan of the brand on Facebook or follow it on Twitter. One of the purposes of the site was to make cross-channel shopping easier. For instance, a customer can order a product from his/her smartphone and have it shipped to their nearest Staples store, locate that store and check available inventory.

The first generation of the company’s mobile site was launched last year and works with all smartphones.
