Mobile purchasing for this holiday season is projected to constitute a greater percentage of online spending than ever, and by a long shot. Still, marketers aren’t sure how mobile will play out through the holiday and otherwise. This infographic points out that in 2012, mobile purchasing will comprise 20% of online holiday sales, up from 11% in 2011 and 5.5% in 2010. Other highlights?
– 70% of smartphone users take action within 1 hour after conducting a search.
– 45% of customers plan to shop online this holiday season, up from 35% in 2010.
– 75% of businesses without a mobile marketing program plan to start one within the next year.
